SENIOR MEASURED BUILDING SURVEYOR – LONDON

£30,000 – £40,000 + CAR ALLOWANCE + BENEFITS

Purpose of the role:

  • To carry out Measured Building Surveys

Key responsibilities:

  • To carry out the following type of surveys:
    • 3D laser scanning
    • Measured building & topographical surveys using Disto/Total Station/Point cloud scanner
  • To process site data using N4CE, MBS, FARO Scene.
  • To create 2D drawings including general arrangement plans, elevations, sections, reflective ceilings, site plans etc.
  • To create 3D architecture and MEP Models using Revit from point cloud data

Essential Experience/requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Land and Building Surveys
  • To grow and head up a team
  • To train junior members of staff
  • Monitoring systems to assess risk
  • Clean driving license
  • Be willing to travel throughout the UK and work flexible hours
  • To comply with all work related and behavioural company policies
  • Be aware, comply with and contribute to the company’s Quality Management System requirements

Skills:

  • Strong project management skills
  • Good IT skills, confident with MS Office
  • Ability to extract relevant data and provide clear and concise reports for others. 
  • Attention to detail
  • Good organisation, and good verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, in a clear, articulate, and persuasive manner.
  • Strong customer focus

Qualifications:

  • Be Professionally qualified to Degree, HNC/D or RICS standard

Desirable Experience/requirements:

  • Experience of project collaborating using BIM360
  • Have a CSCS card
  • Have enhanced DBS
  • Experience using Faro and Leica survey equipment
  • Be keen to embrace the BIM Level 2 Collaborative environment
  • Knowledge and passion of the use of technology to gather asset management data

The post-holder will assist the Project Management Director in managing the relationships between the clients, users and the service providers, specifically in the areas of:

  • Procurement and management of Life Cycle works
  • Management of large construction variations on PFI contracts
  • Procurement and management of smaller variation works as required
  • Management and resolution of Construction Defects
  • Risk identification, monitoring and management
  • Programme management
  • Protection of Project Company investment
  • Maintenance of records and preparation of reports

Person specification:

  • Proven experience in project management and life cycle works including all aspects of process development and execution in a high profile, high volume environment
  • Proven experience in the management, procurement and delivery of large variation projects
  • Procurement of lifecycle works subcontract packages
  • Managing works subcontract packages experience
  • In depth knowledge of Hard FM service delivery gained in a practical setting
  • Healthcare Hard Services experience
  • Understanding of the relationship between client, SPV and service providers

ASSET MANAGER – (BASED IN A LONDON HOSPITAL)

  • Provide monitoring and management of service delivery including both statutory and non-statutory standards and requirements.
  • To provide a technical and asset management lead to the Project Company(s).

Person specification:

  • In depth knowledge of FM service delivery gained in a practical setting
  • In depth knowledge of FM statutory and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of working in a performance-based environment
  • Knowledge of working with detailed contractual, statutory and guidance documents
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and practices
  • Proven record of service delivery
  • Experience of quality assurance systems, performance monitoring systems and a PFI environment would be desirable

Skills:

  • A high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to use these to build trust and confidence
  • Problem solving in complex environments

SENIOR/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR PLANNER – KIRKHAM

£40,000 – £50,000 + CAR ALLOWANCE + BONUS

Turner Property Recruitment are currently representing a well-respected family run multi consultancy business (debt free) who are looking for a qualified Senior Planner (3-5 years post qualified ideally – but can consider up to Associate Director) to be based in Kirkham, in order to help grow and push the business forward. Recently Turner Property Recruitment recruited a Group Planning Director for this business and we are now entering the second phase of recruitment with this hire.

This unique and rare opportunity is an immediate requirement due to unprecedented growth and planned further drive forward by the company. The candidate will be joining a fast-paced planning firm – working on a range of projects including large portfolios down to individual properties/sites. The organisation is looking for a candidate with a good DC background, with some understanding of planning policy, but looking to learn and grow their practical planning knowledge. It is key to note the Planner will be working with a senior team and responsible for junior planners.

During this exciting time, work is being secured up and down the UK so there will be elements of travel in this role, however the organisation can be flexible around life commitments but there is an expectation to be based in Kirkham (just outside Preston) – with some travel to London (where they have a partner office) and other locations around the UK for specific projects.
